GOLD OF THE DESERT KINGS

OPTIMIZING PRODUCTIVITY

Convert activity into productivity and maximise results, growth, and effectiveness in a challenging and ever-changing environment!

BUSINESS ISSUE

We often confuse activity with productivity. If we’re busy, we must be making progress, right? Not always. Much of this hustle may go unnoticed until results start to show… and by then, it might be too late.

Gold of the Desert Kings™ creates an experience where the difference between activity and productivity can mean life or death – not just success or failure. But the vibrant world of this learning experience is merely a parallel to the world we face at work every day — a world where planning, gathering resources, and goal-oriented action, executed in an ever-changing environment, are the keys to maximising results.

THE LEARNER EXPERIENCE

There’s gold in the mountains, and it can be yours — if you can cross the dangerous desert that lies in the way.

This interactive learning adventure will challenge you to work as a team — prepared, organised, and focused — because the competition is fierce and time is running out. With pressure and limitations building, you and your fellow adventurers must cross the vast and dangerous desert, collect as much gold as possible, and return home safely. You’ll need to make the most of every moment and decision in order to survive and succeed. Stop being a couch tourist and become a motivated explorer; discover the direct impact of planning, preparation, and execution; eliminate the frustration of wasted activity and convert it into productivity that generates results — this is the true Gold of the Desert Kings™.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS LEARN

• Distinguish between activity that takes you away from your goal and productivity that brings you closer.

• Ask “What is possible?” instead of “What is necessary?” to overcome perceived limitations.

• Plan, prepare, and execute — never losing sight of the goal — to deliver productivity and maximised results.

• Gather, assess, and apply information, adjusting your plan to deal with pressure and surprises.

• Permanently adopt a strategic mindset for any challenge; develop lasting habits of focused productivity.

FACILITATOR INSIGHT

In Gold of the Desert Kings™, teams begin with the same amount of time, the same access to information, and exactly the same budget. Yet teams deliver vastly different results. How does this happen? Well, the only thing that differed between the teams was the strategy they chose to adopt for the situation! It’s an amazing way to focus participants on their real-life work strategies.

All too often, we lament a lack of resources — even when that’s completely beyond our control. The reality is that we must focus on the things within our control to achieve better results with the same resources.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

Eagle’s Flight™ recently conducted an experiential learning session for a group of our senior leaders from around the world. We hired them because they promised to engage a group of 30 people from more than 10 different nationalities for four hours and, in the process, clarify to all of us how to use our time and resources more productively and maximise results for our business.

It was a big promise, and to me, as a member of that leadership group, it seemed like a big gamble to dedicate 30 senior leadership hours to a game.

I can confidently say that taking part in Eagle’s Flight™ and committing to this particular workshop was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s not often that you can, at the same time, have great fun, build working relationships with colleagues, experience intense pressure, and truly learn something about your business and your behaviour that’s so useful you want to go out immediately after the session and apply it.

The logical and powerful messages from Eagle’s Flight™ were so relevant, delivered so diplomatically, and so easy to absorb that (as promised) they provoked learning and reaction from every leader present. Eagle’s Flight™ changed the vocabulary we use and our ability to invest resources in the most productive activities. I would recommend them to any company, of any size and sector. You won’t regret it.”
